In a global effort to eliminate single-use plastics, Sofitel Brisbane Central is joining Sofitel properties around the world in their adoption of large format Balmain amenities.
Offering refined French luxury, each of our guest rooms and suites are enhanced with the inclusion of a lush custom collection of Balmain amenities, inclusive of a delicately scented shampoo and conditioner, a sweet-smelling body wash, and a nourishing lotion.
A long-standing partner of Sofitel Hotels & Resorts, the quintessentially Parisian House of Balmain is synonymous with uncompromising luxury – where modern sophistication meets rich heritage.
Established in 1945, founder Pierre Balmain was a member of the elite group of visionary designers that guided French fashion to its renaissance after World War II.
Today, helmed by Olivier Rousteing, - appointed Creative Director in 2011 at just 25 years old - Balmain retains its unique position as both an historic French house and as a luxurious, trendsetting brand that others look to as a reference. As evident from its combined social media following of over 12 million, its range of high-profile celebrity brand icons, and its collection of boutiques occupying prime pockets of the world’s greatest cities.
Therefore, with Accor’s ambitious goals to improve the sustainability of hotel operations, the same indulgent Balmain amenities will soon come in large pump form, helping to significantly reduce waste whilst simultaneously still delivering French luxury.
Particularly, in replacement of the individual miniature amenities, all guest rooms and public spaces will feature Balmain’s luxe pump bottle collection with gold foil embellishment, inclusive of their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and hand lotion.
This transition is an exciting worldwide initiative that will begin to be rolled out across our property and all 121 Sofitel Hotels & Resorts around the globe at the beginning of June 2022.
This initiative is just one example of how Accor continues to constantly strive to operate in an increasingly environmentally-conscious manner.
