Brisbane Entertainment Centre
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre, built by the Brisbane City Council as a world-class multipurpose venue, was a key component of Brisbane’s bid for the 1992 Olympic Games. It also served as the home of the original Gladiators television series.
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre achieved global recognition as the No. 1 venue in the 10,000–15,000 capacity category, ranked by Venues Today (2010, 2012) and Billboard Magazine (2010). In 2015, it was also nominated for “Best Energy Efficient Project” at the AEG Summit, highlighting its sustainability efforts.
With the Brisbane Entertainment Centre a half an hour drive away or via public transport, Sofitel Brisbane Central is perfectly positioned if attending an event at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and seeking central, luxurious Brisbane accommodation.
